A Peace and Friendship Ambassador for the China Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

UBTECH has customized a panda robot named "Youyou" for the China Pavilion at the Dubai Expo. This robot, designed with inspiration from pandas, leverages the technology used in the construction of Walker, a humanoid service robot. Youyou greets visitors from all over the world at the China Pavilion and showcase its skills with traditional Chinese characteristics, such as calligraphy and painting.

Youyou boasts limbs empowered by 41 high-performance servo joints, granting it remarkable flexibility. This enables multiple Youyou robots to dance together neatly and uniformly.

Handwriting & Drawing

With its high-performance servo joints, Youyou can produce stunning handwriting and drawing. This is achieved through a combination of online character stroke planning, accurate stroke or drawing line tracking, and a sophisticated mix of force and position control.
